Mark Carmody, a Dublin-based Irish photographer, shares with you a sample of his work. Mark has had a passion for wildlife and natural heritage since an early age. His mantra when photographing the fauna of where ever he finds himself is "the welfare of the subject comes first".

Mark is co-author of two books illustrating Ireland's natural heritage, namely Shorebirds of Ireland and Freshwater Birds of Ireland with Jim Wilson. As well as publishing two books, he is also a contributor to Getty Images and has had photographs published in WINGS, Birding World, Birdwatch Magazine, Birdwatching, RTE Guide, some academic papers and various public display boards in Ireland and UK. Mark hopes that you find something here that makes you glad you paid a visit.

If you are interested in any of the images presented here, or indeed on Mark's page where a further selection of images can be found, please contact him. All photographs presented herein are low-res JPEG images.
