Jim Wilson, co-author of Freshwater Birds of Ireland, will be discussing our new book on RTE Radio 1's Seascapes programme with Marcus Connaughton. The show is being broadcast at 8.30pm on Friday 11th November 2011. There are a number of copies of the book being given away in a competition so tune in and try your luck in winning a copy.

I am delighted to announce that Freshwater Birds of Ireland, the follow-up to Shorebirds of Ireland, is now available in all book stores, both on the high-street and on-line. I hope that you enjoy it.

The publication of the follow-up to Shorebirds of Ireland with Jim Wilson should soon be on the shelves of all good bookstores and online. The title of the book is Freshwater Birds of Ireland, and is a companion to Shorebirds. I hope that you all enjoy the new book. Jim Wilson's text is once again beautifully written and the passion he brings when discussing our natural heritage in the media is obvious in his writing as well.
